About
I hold a position as a researcher in the Department of Special Education at the University of Haifa, as part of the Research-Associate program for outstanding researchers, funded by the Planning & Budgeting Committee, Council for Higher Education, and the University of Haifa.
Additionally, I am a guest researcher in the Department of Developmental Psychology at Leiden University, and I work as a clinical psychologist and a researcher at the Clinic for Depression and Suicidal Behavior at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel.
My research interests bridge mental health, developmental psychology, education, and Disability Studies. Specifically, I explore environmental factors influencing the social and emotional development of children with disabilities, as well as emotional difficulties such as self-harm behaviors and their relationship to emotion regulation and parental emotion socialization in both children with and without disabilities.
I completed my PhD in clinical psychology at the Department of Psychology at the Hebrew University and a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Developmental Psychology at Leiden University, supported by the H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND LEaDing Fellows Postdoc Program. Recently, I was awarded the Versano Research Grant for young, distinguished researchers, for conducting a clinical intervention research at Schneider Children’s Medical Center.
